Dare 2: bring us the biggest idea you could sell to people you already know

Dare 1 was ours. We set it at our own launch, and StellarView took it up itself (The Municipath Dare). Dare 2 is Joey’s, and it is for you.

Bring us the biggest idea you know would help people. Pick one you could sell to the people you already know.

You do not have to build it. You do not need to write code, a plan or a pitch deck. Tell us the idea in your own words, the way you would tell a friend.

What you bring

  • The idea, as big as you dare. Our first one was software for a whole interstate corridor.
  • Who it helps. Anyone who hears it once should be able to say.
  • Who would buy it. A person or a kind of business in your own circle.

What you get

A starting kit for your idea, usually within a day:

  • your idea written back to you, for you to correct before anything else happens
  • the words of your field, each with where it comes from
  • a name and a mark
  • the screens of the product, clickable, with real places and real numbers where they exist
  • the first set of requirements, each tied to a screen and to the rule it comes from

That is how Municipath began. On 24 October 2026 it went from the first conversation to requirements traced to its screens in 49 minutes, by its own commit times.

Then anyone can build it

Once your kit is published, every team that takes up your Dare starts from the same one. A team can be us, or anyone with an AI platform of their own. To answer the Dare, they show the rest of the seven steps:

  1. how their AI maps every requirement to its tests
  2. every item traced, so the people around a build can follow it
  3. the product built by the AI, running in the cloud, and a demo of it
  4. all of it, from the first screen to the last, with the logs and the evidence

Make one yourself

If you have StellarView or LDS, you can make a Dare yourself with Slingshot. It runs in your own Claude, at no charge from us, and everything it writes is yours. Your Claude usage is yours to pay. The film of your Dare is ours to make, and it is a paid service. No price is published yet.

Our promises to you

  • Your name goes on it only if you say so.
  • Nothing is published until you have read your idea back and said it is right.
  • A number we have not reached is called a target, and we show how far off it is.
  • Anything imagined is called imagined, on the screen and out loud.
  • Every team gets the same kit. If it changes, everyone gets the new one.

How to start

Tell us the idea. A call, a message or a voice note is enough: joeshawfield@practicai.org.
